Three men are on a deserted island. No one else is on the island.
One of the men is found dead behind some bushes.
A detective arrives on the island and goes to look at the body.
The detective says, "In 24 hours I will name the killer."
24 hours later he correctly names the killer.
How did he do it?

*wheels turning* Would the 24 hour wait have anything to do with the ocean's tide?

The killer was an animal. He could name it what ever he wanted.

What are you rolling your eyes at? I thought that was a pretty good answer. Actually, I thought Chile might be onto something there. Question: Does the location of the body (behind some bushes) have any importance on the case?

No, the riddle said that the detective arrived later, he was not one of the original three; right, Ken?

The bushes were poison ivy? The killer would have a rash?
