St. Louis first baseman Albert Pujols suffered a strained left calf in the seventh inning of the Cardinals' 7-2 victory over the Reds on Tuesday night.
Pujols hit a grounder to first baseman Joey Votto and took three steps before reaching down to grab his left lower leg and falling to the ground.
Manager Tony La Russa and trainer Greg Hauck went out to check on Pujols before teammates Ron Villone and catcher Yadier Molina helped him back to the dugout.

He's on his way back to be examined. They said that it feels much better, but he is still limping. Doesn't sound good.

I'm not sure that Sir Albert will be put on the DL right away. I wouldn't be surprised that he gets listed as day to day before they have to sideline him.
