So, it's officially opening day!! (I watched the ESPN-manipulated "opening day" game last night, though I didn't enjoy it :-) )

We managed to get into the Redbird Club. One of my son's substitute teachers was working the door. We were inside for most of the game. That's a great place to watch a game from! One can walk outside and watch, watch through the glass, or watch on one of the many plasma televisions. There are tons of food choices (for which you have to pay), several bars serving any kind of mixed drinks, and several restrooms. I don't know how much the tickets are for in there, but they're probably worth it, especially on a particularly cold or hot day. We had a very good time. My daughter if five and yesterday was her fifth opening day. I buy her and my son each an openind day baseball every year and put it into a ball cube with the ticket. Hopefully one day they'll look at them in their own homes and have good memories.
