The tale of Michael Vick(notes) has taken more twists and turns than one of his pinball-like touchdown runs. This may be the biggest one yet. The embattled Vick has signed a one-year deal with an option for a second year with the Philadelphia Eagles, a team previously thought to have no interest in him. sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_cornerI am a huge football fan and patron, not a animal rights activist. However, this totally disgusts me. I think there are alot of football fans who share my view. Leave it to the Eagles to take this scum on their team. The nastiest fans in football deserve this asshole. What he did wasnt an error in judgement, or a crime of passion deserving of a second chance. It was cold calculated cruelty.

that is totally true, thong. and if football were a game of character, he wouldn't be playing. Leonard Little wouldn't be wearing the Rams jersey, either. But he is and football is not about character.
It was almost a given (at least from my POV) that Vick would get signed. I'm just glad it wasn't with the Rams. He was a pretty decent QB at Atlanta - a very good running QB. Someone was going to pick him up.
The Eagles deserve whatever they get.

It'll be interesting to see how the defensive linemen treat him. I bet he takes some hard knocks this season!

I have heard all those arguments about football isnt a game of character, and there are people playing in the NFL who have killed people. And everyone deserves a second chance....blah blah blah....what he did was cold calculated cruelty for no other reason than his sick entertainment. He didnt make a mistake, he has a character flaw that would allow him to do what he did. He is still who he was, and is only sorry he got caught. Maybe its about damn time the NFL clean house. It will be interesting to see how home team fans react when the Eagles come to town. I bet there will be some heated demonstrations, and rightfully so. I am steaming mad.
