One day after defeating the Chargers for the AFC title, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is photographed wearing a walking cast outside his girlfriend's apartment in New York. "Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," Brady said Monday during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI - before the photo and video emerged - when asked if his leg was injured. "I'm not worried about that. I'm not missing this one. I'd have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It's nothing serious." Patriots spokesman Stacey James wrote in an e-mail to the AP late Monday night that the team had no comment on the photos. sports.aol.com/nfl/story/_a/brady-banged-up/20080122002909990001

If they do go all the way there should be an asterisk.

He has been seen wearing stuff like this before games quite often.
Some say it's simply to cause the other teeam to over play him, trying to take him out of the game etc... opens up the field for longer down field throws. He will be fine on game day.
(Can I hit him in the foot with a hammer to make it legit?)

how is trying to understand the other team's defensive signals cheating? Granted, it gives a team a certain advantage to know what the defense is planning, but is that cheating? Apparently, this practice was rampant in the NFL. So much so that the league had to outlaw it...
Now, the Pats did violate the mandate of the league and they got slapped. I do believe the next 17 games proved that they are THE team to beat and nobody has done that yet...
Please - issues like this are brought on by the league themselves. similar to the steroid problem in baseball. Selig KNEW it was a problem (heck - he was a team owner for years prior to being elected commissioner) and did nothing until the tell-all books and indictments came out...

Just because everyone might have been doing it at one time, dosent make it acceptable. They were caught, and now they have to pay the piper. Even if "the piper" is as simple as people on the internet get to call them cheats. P.S......I hope his super model girlfriend gets over zealous and temporarily injures him during some super bowl eve brawl.

I mean, c'mon, they cheated. If they didn't they wouldn't get that huge fine against them. That said, they sure whooped the shit outta the rest of their schedule

That said, they sure whooped the shit outta the rest of their schedule that's my point... yeah, they broke the rules in Game 1. maybe they got an advantage over the Jets. Maybe not. but, the next 17 teams didn't stop them. It wasn't even close in most games. The Ravens and the Giants gave the Pats a rough time, and the Giants only lost by a field goal so, while I think the Pats will win the SB, it may not be a lock...

I think it's pretty much a lock.
As much as it pains me to say so, I doubt the Ginats have what it takes.
