The St. Louis Cardinals announced Monday that pitcher Adam Wainwright was going on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right middle finger.
Wainwright will have the finger reexamined next week to get a more accurate projection when he'll return to the line-up.
Cardinals' General Manager and Vice President said the team was hopeful Wainwright would "avoid any long-term absence from the rotation."

that blows! that couldn't come at a worse time, if you ask me...
I'm glad to be getting Wellemeyer back, but I think Pinero could stay gone...

Yeah, I heard he felt something pop in it.
They said that McKellen would start, then changed that to Boggs. If it was McKellen, he would've become a permanent part of the rotation, I don't know what they'll do with Boggs
