I saw Adam Sandler's new movie this weekend, and I was so disappointed. The trailers for the movie looked so funny. But, as usual, the trailers were the best parts of the movie. Adam's character was a middle-eastern fighter, who wanted to come to America to be a hairdresser. Funny premise, plus anything in a hair salon interests me. But, alas.....it wasn't funny. Most of the action in the hair salon was Adam "leching" & slobbering all over women in their 70's & 80's. It might've been funny in one scene, but the whole movie was like that. *shudder* There were a lot of cameos by famous celebrities, though. So if you are an Adam Sandler fan, I'm sure you'll find something you'll like in the movie. My biggest complaint about movies set in hair salons, is that the people that portray stylists know absolutely nothing about haircutting. They never use a comb while cutting hair - they grab a hank of hair in their fist, then start snipping in the air next to the hair. <---pet peeve of mine.

I loved Adam Sandler, Will Farrell, Mike Myers when they were on SNL. But a little of all of them go a long way for me. A 5 minute skit of an outrageous character is very funny, but 2 hours of it becomes repetitive and annoying for me. Whats worse they keep making the same movie over and over. How many Austin Powers does the world need?

I agree. I heard that Ferrell is going to bring back the Ron Burgundy character in another movie. I love Will when he stretched his acting skills like he did on SNL. He was put into different characters each week, and he was brilliant.
