Two vertical 750 ft posts have a 1000 ft rope stretched between their topmost points. The rope sags to within 250 ft from the ground. How far apart are the posts?

the poles cant be exactly 0 inches apart because the rope would have a thickness to it. I figured if I said 0 you would say it was wrong because of that..

What if the rope is really thread?

then it wouldnt be called a rope. and given the tendency for smaller diameter strongs to twist around each other when hung for long lengths, the bottom of the bend would more then likely be higher then 250.
