SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Curtis Brown scored on a rebound with 2:48 left in overtime as the San Jose Sharks beat the St. Louis Blues 5-4 in the season-opener for both clubs.
Joe Thornton added three assists for San Jose and Vesa Toskala made 31 saves.
The Sharks appeared headed for a regulation victory when Mark Bell scored with 5:42 left in the third. But Bill Guerin forced overtime when he tipped home Keith Tkachuck's pass after the Blues pulled goalie Manny Legace for a sixth skater.

How about Hinotes performance!??
At least we were scoring goals, last year we only scored like 57 for the whole season.
Legace looked good, but was real critical of his performance, he said anytime you let up 5 goals it's a pathetic performance, no matter how many saves you make.
Can't wait till Wed

Well, we've lost 9 season openers in a row, I don't think this game has much of an impact for the remainder of the season
Who knows tho
