Even as he disappears into the distance, Brett Favre is larger than life. With Favre's retirement today, the NFL has lost far more than just a Hall of Famer and a hero. Other quarterbacks are always trying to redesign the game. Favre, alone, played it as it was invented. He was the anti-Manning. He was the alter-Brady. He threw more touchdown passes -- 442 -- than anyone in history. He also threw for more interceptions -- 288 -- than anyone in history. That was Favre, a human amusement-park ride, delighting and devastating fans for 15 years in 30-second intervals. He also threw for more yards than any quarterback (61,655) and won more games than any quarterback (160) and finished his career with a quarterback-boggling 275 consecutive starts. Some of the best quarterback statistics ever do not mean he was the best quarterback ever. He was not. He won but one Super Bowl. With his penchant for taking chances, he lost as many big games as he won. Typically, he blew his final chance at going to a Super Bowl in January when his wild interceptions doomed the Packers in an overtime conference championship loss to the New York Giants. He won't be remembered as one of the quarterback gods. He will be remembered as something far more important. www.latimes.com/sports/la-spw-plaschke5mar05,1,2179980.column

I remember when we picked him 7 times in one game, the NFC Championship game if I'm not mistaken. Aeneas Williams got 3 and returned 2 of 'em
He was definately great.

If I'm not mistaken, he never missed a game during his career.
