I am thinking about getting a design program, and I'd like some input on which one to buy.
I want to be able to make logos, sigs, etc. I'd like the interface to be fairly simple, yet give me enough leeway to possibly make 3-D designs. I've used Microsoft Publisher and a couple other design programs, and that's about it. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Zero. For 2 years I worked as a graphic artist for a printing company, and I loved it. I learned much about stand-out color combinations, balance, font combination do's-and-don'ts, focal points to avoid, etc., and I would love to be able to try my hand at it again. There are a lot of online contests for logo and/or t-shirt logo designs online, and I'd like to be able to enter them. www.i-am-bored.com has a t-shirt logo design contest going on right now. The prize is $100. I saw some of the designs that have been entered, and they are very, very good, but not "killer." Thought I'd give you, Reno & Xion the "heads up" on that contest, in case you'd like to enter a design.
